It's probably not a pimple....it might just be an infection. My little brother used to have one on his chin when he was a baby and it spread on his entire chin. It lasted for a few weeks. Maybe you should ask the doctor to prescribe some antibiotics or something.....well good luck!

That sounds awfully serious. Sounds more like a really bad bug bite. You should make an appointment with the doctor, and until then, either put ice on it, or ask your pharmacist what anti-swelling medication is safe for infants. Im not sure exactly what brand, but the pharmacist will find something...

She is an infant, get her to the doctor. It could be she was bitten by a spider or some other poisonous insect and may lead to other complications if not treated.
Don't delay. She is depending on you for her health. In fact for her very life.

You can rinse it with cool water and apply cortisone cream 4 times a day. If it does not improve after 1-2 days, call the doctor office.

It's not uncommon for their little pores to get clogged easily, causing white heads and "bumpies" ... but the swelling indicates something worst. You don't want to take any chances with a newborn, period. At least CALL the doctor and ask for advice. They may just suggest warm compresses. They may want to see the baby. Call them first thing in the a.m.!

Take her to the doctor. It may be an infection. My son when he was 5 years old got a infection in the fatty tissues of his face. I can't remember what they called it, but it can get serious if not treated with antibiotics.
Take her in just to be safe.

The best thing to do is leave it alone and closely mointor it for the next 48 hours. If it gets bigger and redder , she should be taken to the doctor. Its probably just a bug bite.

sounds like it might be an insect bite. Whatever it is it could be dangerous, either an infection or possibly an allergic reaction. Since this is so close to the throat it may affect her breathing. I would take her to the ER.
