Today when i got home from an extensive day of playing basketball in the sun, i had to use the bathroom.. And without saying much more, I noticed blood in it. very small spot. But im just concerned of what exactly it could have been caused by. could it have been the basketball that ive been playing so much lately?

mmmk so the truth is... there was a scale on the ground, and i was "bored" haha, so i pushed it onto my knee as hard as I could, so it was probably just a popped blood vessel, like dee dee said.

OK not trying to be gross but.. were you straining while having a BM? Because if you were and there was only a little amount of blood and it was bright red then you probably just popped a blood vessel..
when you really need to be concerned is when there is a lot of dark red blood that comes out of the rectum!!
But if it continues and becomes heavier then you should see the Dr and get it checked out!!

I doubt that it had anything to do with basketball. Sometimes when doing a poop (Sorry, I know you hate that word), you can break a small blood vessel. It's nothing to worry about. If you see blood day after day, then you need to worry.

It could be hemorrhoids, it could be an ulcer, it could be a fissure, if it happens again or you can stop worrying about it I would go to the doctor and check it out.

could be hemorroids...or something serious....it might be a good idea if you made an appointment to see a doctor or physician this week to be 100% sure
