label makers only have to say that a product is sugar free if it doesnt contain what you know as normal table sugar. if it has any type of frutose, glucose, sucrose.. or any words that end in ose then it is a form of sugar that will raise your blood sugar levels, but not to the level that normal sugar will. try it and check your blood sugar and see if you can handle it. or just ask your doctor if you're really concerned.

Some are and some aren't but when they mean sugar free they are usually sugar free because if you have had like splenda sugar or any sugars like that then that is what it would taste like.
