A girl I know has tested positive for HSV2 (genital herpes) and she also works as an escort. She has taken the IgG test and is claiming the results of that test has pinpointed her infection date to within the last 6-8 weeks. Is there any health professional out there that can confirm this fact? All my information states that she could have contracted this virus at any time. My biggest concerns are that she is continuing to work as an escort and she is only contacting the people she has seen in the last 6-8 weeks. Please cite any references to substantiate answers. Thanks

that are actually caused by the disease, would it defifately show up positive in testing. For example, if i had thrush or rash or muscle pain caused by it, would the test be positive, even early on?

I didnt have intercourse but the guy tried to stick his penis inside of me without a condom. {i didnt have sex because he had no condom} I'm now experiencing swelling on the outer lips of my vagina, itching/burning and a small amount of yellowish-brown discharge.
