My mother is experiencing disorientation & confusion after frontal craniotomy due to aneurysm, is it normal?

Yes this could be normal for her, it also depends on what kind of medication and swelling she has going on. Talk with her doctor to make sure this going to be reversible and what the permanent damage maybe and to make sure there is no infection going on.

your frontal lobe of your brain controls language and movement. Being disoriented is normal to an extent, after such a procedure. The brain should begin to adjust to the changes over time. Usually it takes a 4-6 months depending on the amount of region affected.
