Skin Conditions - January 2007

I suffered for a long time with itchy ankles and the bridge of my feet. Drove me mad specially at night, even bled from scratching.. One night I sprayed aftershave on my feet & ankles and the Itch went away.. I have done this ever since and I have not had a problem since. Cured I am.. Anybody know why aftershave worked ? Did you cure yourself from something ??

I'm a 16 year old guy .. I wouldnt say I have serious acne, but i definately always have 3 - 5 pimples on my face. Also, my nose is very prone to blackheads. I have tried heaps of methods like steaming, etc. and many products and scrubs, etc.
What's the best way to clear my skin? What's the best product? Do I need a product? Please help.

i used a lots of acne and pimple treatment lotions dat too suggested by dermatologists..but i dint see any result.. for 2 months its still continuing.. before my skin was so clean but now i m really very depressed of it

I've had acne persistently since I was thirteen...
I am now seventeen and I still have it and it's worse than ever...
I've tried everything (antibiotics, gels, birth control) and I just can't get the redness and swelling and breakouts down and it's affecting my life. I refuse to take pictures unless it's right after my makeup's been applied and I can't get close to my boyfriend because I don't want my makeup to wipe off. I cannot use benzoyl peroxide becuase I'm allergic and I go to the dermatoligist again this week...what kind of thing should I bring up with him?

This happens to my hands during winter especially, but also other times of the year when seasons change. I moisturize them often, and apply hand lotion when flakes actually appear. Lately they've been flaking a lot, I'll work hand lotion in and 30 mins later my skin feels dry again and flakes appear.

If anyone has any tips to combat this, they'd be greatly appreciated.

I have had several ingrown nails, but they all turn out okay. But a few months back one worsened and it hasn't recovered until today. It's my left big toe nail. It bleeds when i bump into things and occasionally pus, i think, and 'water, comes out too. Recently the nail grew out, i know because it was longer than the other parts of my nail, but is it a good sign? A sorta bump has grown at where it hurts now, it's a bit hard and when i peel the brown part it's like there's flesh inside, but then the brown part grows again. It's where it bleeds and stuff. help! ];

My armpits are extremely dry (not due to a rash or bacteria). They itch a lot and the skin is cracking. This keeps me from being able to apply deoderant or antiperspirant because it irritates the skin.

I've been having this pus-filled type of pimples on my nose for some while. The previous two popped itself, pus came out, and leave red scars.

But the one I am now having bled a little bit of blood a few days ago, no pus has come out yet and it just stays there. It's about in 1cm diameter, with .2-3mm in height, it was bright red before and now it's less redish.

Does anyone know what type of pimple this is? How to treat it? I am a girl and it sucks so bad to have a huge red lump on my nose in the middle of my face. I sometimes laugh at myself as Rudolph the reindeer with a bright red nose-_-

I recently had a clear face for weeks without a single pimple. However yesterday I woke up with 4 new ones, 2 on each side of my face where I shave. Was this possibly triggered by something I did? The size of them aren't big but not small either. These past 2 weeks I started eating chocolate donuts daily but have stopped since yesterday.

I have naturally dark skin. A spend a lot of time outdoors in the summer and when I do that, I wear sunscreen-usually a 15 but if I'm the mountains I wear a 30. Now it is winter and occasionally I go to the tanning booth because it's so relaxing and puts me in an escapist summery state of mind. But I'm not an addict like some people. I don't want to get skin cancer, but why should I avoid the sun? Why should I stay indoors all summer? Shouldn't people just be patching up the ozone instead? It's not fair.

I have pimples on maily my forhead and i use products on my face that are suppose to get rid of acne. well nothing works. i need help, and i cant seem to find anything that will work for me. i wash my face with hand soap before i go to sleep, then i use Clearasil acne control 2% salicylic acid acne medication once to twice daily. and i wash my face in the morning with mild soap again. And i still get a forhead full of zits (very soar ones)! One morning i woke up and one of my eyes were swollen shut becuase of a zit that was coming in on the side of my nose next it my eye! and i was worried sick on going to school that next week becuase i knew i would have a scab left there!once my pimples are going away i still have big scabs left there for over a week! it just rouins my confidence! please i need help! please give me suggestions on products to use that will actually work for me!
