I am going to assume that you have not gone to a dermatologist. You may want to see one. Sometimes acne needs to be treated with antibiotic creams or capsules.

I never had problems with acne but I used my son's facial wash I broke out horribly. It messed up the balance of my oils I suppose. You may need to lessen up on those kinds of products.

My mom swears by ProActiv but I feel your best bet is to go to a doctor so you don't make your skin worse by self medicating.

If you haven't used it yet Proactive is a great product. I used it for a loooong time but my skin became immune to it really weird so i just ended up going to a dermatologist. If you try proactive and it doesn't work go to a dermatologist. It may take a while for them to find an antibiotic that will work on you but once they find one stick with it and it will work. I know what you're going through i went through the same thing from middle school until my junior year in high school. My acne is doing a lot better now that I'm in college and used Proactive and visited a dermatologist. About scars a Proactive will take care of it and i am doing this treatment in the summer that will get rid of all my scars cause that's all that's left but it's really expensive but it's worth it. Listen don't worry about it too much I use to be like you and tried every product that was on the shelf and they never worked. Proactive get i promise it will work. Good Luck and God Bless.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

I doesn't sound like you are moisturizing your face. I had acne as well and was told to use plenty of moisturizer. Well I thought that person was crazy, but I was desperate enough to try anything. So I did, and I have been acne free (except for the occasional zit a month) for 8 years now. I am now a firm believer in moisturizing your face (and body) very well, especially in the winter. The moisturizer doesn't have to be expensive, but I would use a quality moisturizer. I myself use Avon's Anew Alternative, and love it, you need to find one that works right for you and your skin type. Good Luck.

Seriously, you need to get Proactive. That stuff really works. I know a couple of people that use it and need it relly badly. I'm need like they always have alot on their face an more than one. Then they get proactive, and you definetly see the results. That stuff gets rid of them. Oh yeah... and about those scabs... do you pop your zits alot? If you do, your not supposed to pop them. They will give you scabs. They are specially bad, if you pop the ones that aren't white heads. If you choose to pop them pop the white head not the red ones. I hope this helps you. Good luck!!!

I have trouble with acne, too. I just recently started using Proactiv-- it makes my skin feel better, smoother... but I have yet to see much in the way of results, as I've only been using it for a couple weeks. My skin is a little less blotchy and red, so maybe it's going to work. But, what works for me might not work for you. Try seeing a specialist first... and if that doesn't work, try Proactiv.

See a dermaotlogist and ask about accutane, an intense antibiotic. It will definitly get rid of your acne for a long period of time, but it may come back. There are side effects. Acne isn't curable but can be treated, sometimes people just grow out of it. Good luck!

try a product woth sulfur in it, that's the only things that helped me. To avoid scabs, dont ever pick at them, if you must squeeze you need to use a small point needle (like for sewing) and puncture it at the head of the pimple(usually you can see one pore that is enlarged and clogged) after puncturing it push down and lightly or steam you face after it has stopped draining put the sulfur treatment on.
