I've had acne persistently since I was thirteen...
I am now seventeen and I still have it and it's worse than ever...
I've tried everything (antibiotics, gels, birth control) and I just can't get the redness and swelling and breakouts down and it's affecting my life. I refuse to take pictures unless it's right after my makeup's been applied and I can't get close to my boyfriend because I don't want my makeup to wipe off. I cannot use benzoyl peroxide becuase I'm allergic and I go to the dermatoligist again this week...what kind of thing should I bring up with him?

Have you considered changing your diet to a more cleansing one? Healing your skin from the inside may be something that you wish to pursue. For instance, are you drinking enough water and eating foods that help you clear your bowels? Sometimes, toxins are pushed out to your skin in the form of acne as you are accumulating them in your body.

Don't fret too much as you do not want stress to trigger off even more acne. You can get some free tips here on what to do about your diet http://www.detox-cleansing-diet.com
