Over the last 10 years or so, I will occasionally get a mosquito bite-type raised bump on my face. It can show up on my forehead, cheek, or near a lip. I guess anywhere on the face.... and pretty much just 1 at a time. It will be swollen, warm to the touch, and itchy... and will redden and swell further if scratched. Sometimes I've woken up to one these. Sometimes they seem to just appear out of nowhere during the day. If I don't scratch them, they disappear within a day or so.
I know it isn't herpes; I've been blood tested several times for that. And truly, it looks and feels almost exactly like a mosquito bite. I have had eczema patches before, usually on my wrists or inner elbows. Those are usually just comprised of super-dry, red skin, extraordinarily itchy, with a strange, rough texture.
Could these bumps also be a form of eczema?
