If the pimples are appearing on his upper arms and back, or his chest, the simple solution may be to dry off the affected area more throughly after he showers.
Repeated Staph infections suggests poor diet, poor health, depressed immune system and possibly even a dangerous environment.
My suggestions are as follow:
1. Change your husbands bathing habits and the soap he uses.
If the showers are cold, switch to warm, if the soap is organic, switch to something more harsh. Towel dry completely, and wash towels after every shower. Make certain to use bleach when cleaning loads of towels.
2. Bleach your tubs, showers, sinks, counters and floors.
3. If your husband uses an electric shaver, switch to disposable blades. Use an alcohol based aftershave after shaving to clean any surface problems.
4. Use Gold bond or a similar medicated powder to dry off pimples as soon as they appear.
5. If all else fails, move from your current home, and sterilize everything that comes into the new home.
Good luck

Are you sure its a staph infection? If it is you need to figure out why he keeps getting these bumps and combat that. I would never try home remedies for a staph infection you can die from not having the proper treatment. There could be something wrong with his body that keeps making him get these infections. The doctor needs to do some test on him to see why. If you go ahead and do it the right way the first time he will not need to keep going back to the doctor. Good Luck!

There are no home remedies for staph infections, whats more concerning is that this keeps on reoccurring, so I suggest you go once more to the doctor and actually have the pimple cultured because it might be MRSA (methacillin resistant staph aureous).
Which is a tough bacterial infection and is very cpntagious that's why I think your husband keeps on getting reinfected.

I have had the same problem for almost 4 years. In addition to bringing home my newborn baby girl, I brought home a staph infection as well (from the hospital). I've taken many different anti-biotics, which heal the (pimple like) infection(s). However, after about 2 months, they come back, without fail. Staph is very tough to get rid of. My doctor suggested that I see a Skin Specialist who will culture the infection and prescribe the appropriate anti-biotic. It is frustrating because my problem is they heal before the skin doctor can culture them. I suggest you refer your husband to a skin specialist. Good luck!

You can buy over the counter antibiotic ointment in Walgreens or CVS. They are not expensive. Antibiotics are the definitive treatment for a Staph infection. Here are some of my suggestions:
1. Go to a public hospital/clinic and have your husband seen by a doctor. It's free.
2. Have the doctor prescribe antibitocs in generics. It is also a lot cheaper especially if you buy it in Walmart.
3. Disinfect your bathtubs, kitchen sinks, doorknobs in your house. These can be reservoirs of Staphylococcus.
I hope these points help.

Staph infections can be dangerous if it is MRSA, which is an antibiotic resistant type of staph. Especially often it attacks diabetics or others with decreased immune systems. Can you go to a city health department or to the emergency room (at least with ER you don't have to have up front money)...

Staph infections can be deadly. Don't wait around. If he can he may be able to see a dermatologist since they major in skin problems.
Do not let this replace a Dr but vinegar pills and garlic pills can help with simple things like a bladder infection. Taken daily they help me to have fewer problems.

An adequate long course of an antistaph antibiotic should clear this up. Not getting medical treatment for a Staph can kill. Maybe you need to see another doctor for adequate treatment.

Unfortunately, antibiotics are needed for staph. Perhaps he should try a good multi vitamin to build up his resistance to infection.

You can try colloidal silver. I mean, this is really no substitute for sound medical advice but I have used orally for bladder infections with great success. You can also use it topically. Some colloidal silvers are much much better than others. A good brand that is reasonably priced is made by TriSilver in Montana. The web site is www.trisilver.com. It might be worth a try at least. You might also ask them about dosage suggestions.
