Take Vitamin E megadoses - 1000 milligrams.
Eucerin or Cetaphil lotion.
Lever 2000 soap...
Generally dry skin is caused by hard water - consider a water softener - or rinse off after a shower with bottled water like aquafina...
Cortizone Plus is the best cortizone if your dryness becomes a full blown irritation/dermatitis/eczema or an isolated chafing/problem area.
Good luck.

Is it patchy dry areas, or allover? If the following does not work, see your docter.
Continue to wash with soapfree agents, and ask your pharmacist to make you a 10% urea in aqueous cream mixture. You might feel a tingly feeling on the very dry patches, but it will improve. If that is not enough, buy emulsifying ointment to wash with. Please do not use this on your face, as there are excellent facial solutions for your problem.

Apply baby oil right before you finish taking a shower, it will lock the moisture in, and apply lotion after you gently towel dry.

I like to use dove, nivea, or neutrogena products. Be sure to dry well after a shower and apply product to moist skin.
