I was bitten on the leg at rugby training on Tuesday and the bite has swollen up, almost half my leg is red and it's hot! (I've been told by a friend it's probably a horsefly bite!)

What products can you recommend to stop the itching and reduce the swelling?

(I've got some incect repellent, so it wont happen again!)

This question is for my little brother michael. He has excema for about a few years now. He is asian, 19, 5 foot 5 inches and weighs 120. Well...he told me that he's been taking meds for excema but probably topical only. His nose is a slightly greenish color. He will go see a doctor when he fly's back to school tomorrow. Should i worry about this slighty greenish color?

My 3 and a half year old son has red bumps on his hands and belly mostly that itch really bad. They itch worse at nights it seems. They have come and gone for the last 3 weeks. He has seen 2 doctor's and they don't know what it is. Should I take him to a specialist or does anyone out there know what it could be? And how to get rid of it? Oatmeal baths make him feel better and calomine lotion provides pretty much instant relief. I'm not sure that benedryl does anything for him. Just when we think he's over it, it comes back.

It started after my pregnancy ended. I'm not a big girl at all, but I get stinky really fast. I've tried using deoderant all day, washing with exfolients, washing with acne scrubs, and I don't know what to do. There seems like I should be able to fix it somehow!

My boyfriend has developed a skin problem. He scratches at his inner thigh a lot...and that area looked like the skin had hardened (or does people call that scaling of the skin?). When I asked, he said it's because of friction from his underwear and it feels especially uncomfortable when he sweats. I think it must be real itchy...cause I saw some cuts. He must have scratched till it bled. It breaks my heart to see it like this. Does anyone has any idea what it is? Oh...he's 19, loves sports ( plays it a few times a week, pretty active guy). Please help....I dunno what I can do or what he should do. I've asked him to apply vaseline...

My daughter has psoriasis on her scalp. All the shampoos the doctor prescribes don't seem to work. She has recently started secondary school and is embarressed by the big flakes falling onto her black blazer. Any suggestions or herbal remedies?

I know there are people that don't wash with soap, soap hasn't even been around for that long.

I was wondering if since every acne product does something bad for the skin, whether it is soap cleanser, pill, etc, if there is a way to clean without chemicals

she scratched her leg the other night (not hard)...her leg was itchy. She felt something "running down her leg" shortly thereafter....she apparently broke open a small spider vein close to the suface of the skin and it was bleeding quite a bit. She put gauze on it to stop the bleeding....it stopped...she uncovered it to heal. Last night, she unconciously scratched it again and it started bleeding again. Is this something she has to just deal with or is it something that can be repaired? Like I said, she has a lot of veins in her legs and it almost looks like her legs are bruised but they are all just a lot of spider veins. Please, no stupid answers like "don't scratch". Thanks!

I am not using anything new on my skin, nor have I changed my routine or switched detergents. This has happened before and it hurts like mad. And, YES, I have already talked to my doctor about this and it's usually the same thing.... she prescribes something that doesn't work.

The strange thing is this "condition" doesn't happen all the time. It'll go away for months at a time then reappear out of no where. Also, when I was pregnant with my daughter, during my 3rd triemester, it was my belly that popped up with blisters.

HELP!
