He's very itchy & he often gets short tempered from it. He's allergic to dust mites, pollen, mold, rice, corn, soy, & egg. I bought a Hepa filter vacuum, encased his bedding to keep dust mites away, run air purifiers, change the furnace filter frequently, use fragrance free detergents, run clothes through a second rinse cycle, use no dryer sheets, keep baths tepid & brief, lotion with Eucerin immediately afterward, & have him wear only cotton clothes. I can honestly say NONE of this has made a difference. He starts Kindergarten in the Fall & I worry about him. How can he concentrate if he's itchy? Keeping my child drugged on Benadryl indefinitely isn't an option to me. I currently started him on probitotics with his allergists approval & give him 2 tsp. ground Flaxseed in his cereal every morning. I'm now trying Emu oil on him. I spend all my free time searching for answers. Has anyone found relief from dry eczema? Perhaps a Homeopathic Dr. is my next step. Thank you in advance for any help!

My boyfriend thought he got poison ivy a few days ago. That's what I think it is also. Then he got bit by a spider right where the poison ivy was and popped the blister it left behind. Now he has red welts all over his body that only itch if you touch them. They aren't bites, it's not just the rash spreading, and it's not an allergic reaction to poison ivy or the spider because I've had both and it doesn't look the same. Is it possible that the poison ivy seaped into his bloodstream through the spider bite and he's breaking out in a rash from the inside out? Or does it sound like the mumps or something? (He has no other symtoms like fever, etc.)

I recently contracted a small case of ringworm. From where? I have no clue. I took my cats to the vet and they have no signs of the infection at all..so maybe i got it from a freinds or something..there is no telling. Anyways, I have been to the dermatologist for it and he gave me a topical cream to use. My question is is you are being treated for it are you still contagious? If so how long before you are not contagious. This is the first time i have ever had anyting like this..it totally freaks me out!

My cousin broke 2 vertebre's in his back, 3 ribs and a clavicle bone. He's been in a cast around his back and ribs for a week now and can only sleep on his back. He's developed bed sores and they look really bad. He doesn't have a family doctor and can't find one that accepts medicare. Any nurses or others who have dealt with bedsores before who can help would be great! Thanks!

I got this answer but this is not what I have. There are no little blisters. Just skin peeling off. "It sounds like dyshidrotic eczema, a common and unimportant skin condition which produces little blisters on the fingers, hands, and sometimes feet. Cause is unknown-it's not an allergy. Treatment is not absolutely necessary, but if you are very troubled by it, a doctor can prescribe a cortisone-based cream, which usually helps."
