Apply coal oil with the fingers or with a piece of cotton cloth for tow or three minutes, twice or three times a day, and then the ring worm will soon disappear. Another would be to apply iodine four or five times a day has cured it.

An over the counter anti fungal cream or ointment is the usual treatment for ringworm, except for tinea capitis(ringworm of the scalp), which is much more difficult to treat and often requires several months of an oral medication (like Griseofulvin).
Prescription topical creams, suspensions and lotions are also available,

Same stuff for jock itch and athletes foot. It comes in a spray and lotion. Comes in a variety of brand names as well as store brand. Ask the pharmacist. don't be embarrassed. He's seen it all. Oh, yeah, a doctor can prescribe something, too.
