I was told that I had asthma as a baby and then out grow it. I don't remember having it. Well I recently had a cold and then bronchitis( I think it bronchitis I usually develop after a cold but don't have the money to go to the dr now). It been about a week but I am still wheezing alot. The cough sound productive but nothing really comes up. I lay in bed and listen to wheezing sound that comes out of me. When I wake up in the morning my chest feel so tight. I was just wondering if anyone develop asthma from bronchitis. I am also a smoker trying quick.

Thanks

I have been sick for about a month maybe longer. I've been on antibiotics, steroid shots and now has put me on this medication and antibiotics again. Hes saying I am having asthma attacks, I would have to say something else is at play here because I have had attacks before but not ones that last for a months.

Many athletes use 100% oxygen on the sidelines. Has there been studies done to see if there is any tissue damage from chronic exposure to high concentration of oxygen?

my husband was 'accidently' given too much Dilaudid during his last hospital stay. When it was figured out, his oxygen level was at 30, and he was basically 'comatose'. He was put into ICU for 2 days. What type of long term problems should we anticipate?

Someone goes to the Doctor with a Cough, Chest Congestion, and Tightness in the Chest. The Doctor just takes Blood Pressure, Temp., and listens to his Chest. The Doctor says they have Bronchitis with a little Fluid in the Lungs. He Prescribes them Antibiotics, an Inhaler, and Steroids. Should the Doctor also have X-rays taken?

Is it possible to have an infection but no rise in temperature. I think I may have a sinus infection but my doctor has given me nose drops which help but don't cure. As I do not have a temperarure he has not offered me an antibiotic. I also think that the sinus problem has a lot to do with the ringing in my ears as when my blocked nose clears for a while the ringing goes away or is very faint.

For the last 2 years I have been getting Bronchitis twice a year. All of the info. I find on Bronchitis talks about people who smoke and I am a non-smoker, have been all of my life. I can't understand why I keep getting it.

I had asthma at 6 months old and lost before reaching the age of 5. I really did have asthma. I had to get away from cats, feathered pillows, and more. But then I dont have any problems now and I am 17 years old? What type of asthma was that? Do I still have asthma but at a lesser degree?

The information that about now, is overwhelming in it's proof that smoking DOES harm the people around them, yet these selfish smokers WILL continue to poison those babies & children who, they say, "They Love so much".

I smoked from the age of 10 up to the age of about 35 years, (I am now 73) BUT when it was proved that smoking kills and causes those terrable lung conditions and a cough that DOES NOT SEEM TO STOP even now, I am utterly appalled when I see these people, as I have mentioned before, smoke in front of their & others' babies & young children.

I stopped so can they, but the answer seems to be that these people have NO will power and are selfish into the bargain.
Any comments folks?

her pulse is high and her respirations are 40-50, fever of 100, receiving 50 percent of oxygen in her trach ventilater. what does all this mean? also the doctor wants to take her off her antiobiotics-isn't that dangerous? or is it bad to keep her on them for such a period of time?

I have COPD and asthma and I live in Florida. I hear that it's the worse place to live with breathing problems, and they do seem to be getting worse every year. I cannot handle it much longer and need to live where the climate would be more helpful to my breathing difficulties. Can anyone PLEASE tell me if they have moved somewhere because of breathing problems and have had real good luck with doing so? PLEASE HELP! "suffocating in florida"

I was having this discussion about people abusing drugs and stealing other people's inhalers for 'the high'. I would never let anyone touch my inhaler except for me. But How would it affect their bodies. I think there would be major heart problems because it makes one heart beat faster. But specifically, what does the medicine affect someone;s body if they dont need it and they dont even have asthma?

I have severe sinus problems. I've seen an ENT doctor and a neurologist with no results. Currently I am suffering from what I think is ragweed allergy. My only syptoms are severe sinus pain and general sick feelings (nausea, temperature fluctuation, fatigue) I use a nasal spray and take Zyrtec daily. They help a little. Any ideas, suggestions? I am particularly interested in trying some homeopathic remedies.
