I have been smoking for a while and now my mom found my cigarettes and i dont know a good excuse to tell her why i have been smoking. I just told her that i have been having bad stress and crap, but i need a better excuse. I have been just acting like im misreable so i need a good heartbreaking excuse.

I feel I have had severe mental problems for some time now and desperately want help but I refuse to use drugs for any reason (sociably or medically) unless it is something minor like an asprin for headaches.

I want to deal with these issues legitimately without having to take medication that shuts off parts of my brain and alters chemicals in my head.

I want to make sure 100% that before asking for help I'm not going to be tricked into doing something I don't approve of. I'm passonite on this.

I want to deal with these problems by discussing the way I feel with professionals and getting to the root of the problem NOT by having some nurse force-feed me meds that are just going to cover up the problem.

So my question is...if I voluntarily commit myself to a mental health hospital will I the right to deny medication?

I think I might have a kidney stone, bladder infection, SOMETHING!
I just know that I've been going pee VERY frequently. Like every 20 minutes! And then when I go into the bathroom to pee, it kinda burns. :|
I'm scared.
I hate to give out too much information, but it's probably wise to know that I do "enjoy" myself a LOT!
That's when I first noticed it, it hurt like a son of a. lol.
So, I havn't been able to get sexually excited because of the pain.
It's mostly like a burning sensation on my clit...
I feel so awkward asking random people what might be wrong with me, but I'm terrified!
I go into the bathroom to go pee every 20 minutes, and when I sit on the potty, I just drip out a little pee, it's frustrating, but it feels like I REALLY have to go! :(
I don't have the money or insurance to go see a doctor, that's why I brought my question here. I just wanted to know a few opinions, and some solutions to the painful burning problem. lol.
Thanks for those that answer!

I got up at 6 am and it is 1:15 pm at this time. I have gone pee 13 times already today. My fluid intake has been 4 cups of coffee and 1 small glass of tea. Is this in the normal average or should I be getting concerned? This has been going on for about 3 months and the only other change I have noticed is that I am more thristy then I used to be as well. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

at the end of october, my bf had a kidney stone. apparently it wasnt his 1st either. he is older than i am, im only 21. i remember i could hear him scream when he passed it. they made him piss into a strainer that fit on the toilet. when he finally did pass it, after seeing it & how big it was, i cant believe a man could pass something so big and hard through his penis, no wonder he screamed when it came out. anyways, now that i recently found out that im pregnant. ive heard some people say that passing a kidney stone for a man is like childbirth. my bf said that i should prepare for a lot of pain & that i may want to hurt him in the delivery room, he said he based this off his ex-wife when she had their kids. he said its not meant to scare me, but is telling me the truth based off his experiences. He said the only good thing is that i'll be able to get a lot of pain reduction whereas with his stone, he had to stand over the toilet & aim his penis for a strainer!

My father-in-law has been on kidney dialysis for a year and he has diabetes. He has bad circulation in his legs along with hardening of his skin due to nephrogenic fibrosing dermopathy (NFD). This past week, he went in to the doctor to see why he has been having digestion issues (mainly frequent diarrhea) and swelling in his belly. His CAT scan showed that he likely has cirrhosis of the liver.

After reading what I wrote, I wonder why I am even posting this question. I think I am in denial about just how sick he is. I was wondering if there is anyone else out there who has had experience with this combination of diseases. How long can someone live with all of this wrong with them? I think I need to face the truth. My main question is, how long do we have left with him?

He is near and dear to my heart. Thank you to all who respond.

I know that epipens are mostly used if someone is having an extremely bad allergic reaction, but would an epipen also be an effective first aid treatment for a heart attack since it administers a dose of epinephrine (adrenaline)?

I've been feeling sick for weeks. I've been to the doctor a number of times, it's not lymes or mono. I have stiff joints, often headaches, dehydration, i'm definitely more tired than my activity should suggest, i sometimes feel light headed, and i'm just overall not feeling well. My biggest issues are the stiff joints and always feeling drowsy. I even fall asleep in class after a full 8 hours of sleep. Anyone have any thoughts on what my problem is?

My Mom is like 50. She has a few medical concerns, like the following:

1. Bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome
2. Type II Diabetes
3. Back problems
4. Degenerative disc disease
5. Depression

And a few others, as well.

She is in a quandary right now. She is applying for SSDI- but being a paralegal, I have tried to explain to her how difficult it is to get approval.

She really needs an income terribly bad. What can she do?

Could she work part time?

What about potential employers- should she tell them up front about her medical conditions?

We live in a state (GA) that is a "free to hire, free to fire" state.

I am a junior in high school and I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was in the 6th or 7th grade and have had 2 relapses since then and been on over 3 to 4 different medications during this time. The most recent medication seems to be working and I have not had problems for a while now. Ever since junior year started, I can't help but feel that I've become very fatigued and being very bored almost all the time. I feel very irritable (spelling?) around friends now, and I find myself looking down upon myself. Could these signs of depression have anything to do with my Ulcerative Colitis? thanks
