I had blood tests to test my thyroid function. I got the lab results today in the mail. It said that my thyroid function is at a 3.48, but that's all it said. I do have a doctors appointment on Tuesday, however, I would like to know what this means now, so I can be better informed when I see the doctor.

I had my gallbladder removed about 2 and half months ago, and about 3 weeks after my surgery i started to experience extreme diarreha, pretty much everytime,right after i eat. I was just wondering if people could tell me their post op stories and if this is normal? will it ever stop? its so annoying!! i thought i'd feel better after having it removed. thanks!

I've been wondering about this for a while. With all the recalls over toys and products made in China, is any parents testing their children for lead? If there is lead poisoning, do they plan to sue the company (like Mattel) who endorses these products? No kids should suffer serious brain damage if it can be prevented?

Why is there not a specific category for questions regarding addiction?

All estimates conclude that approximately 10% of the population is alcoholic, or addicted to other mood altering substances, i.e. street drugs or abusing Rx medications.

Doesn't a topic that affects 10% of the people deserve a category of its own?

i did eat this pizza that they had a recall on for Samonala poisoning, and ate it not knowing until, my dad told me.

I usually just have diarrehor (sorry can never get that spelling right!) but just in the last few days im been completely 'backed up'!!! Im used to trying to stop myself shitting and now i need to start it for once! What causes constipation? I havent really done anything new to cause this! Usually im in the toilet every day shitting my guts out! Whats with this sudden change! Anyone know what causes this and how to get back to 'normal'??

He had to go the hospital at 4 a.m. this morning. It's now almost 8 p.m. They said he is trying to pass a kidney stone. They also said 24 to 48 hours to do so. He is in extreme pain. Can't sleep for more than 5 minutes at a time. The pain med they perscribed for him makes him sick. Even with food. He is drinking water and juice. Any advice to help make him more comfortable? Is all this normal? Thanks.

He even went to see my GP(without my knowledge) to tell my doc that he's wrong and I don't have a problem!!LMFAO

He doesn't understand that I can't go a whole day without at least 4-5 cans of super strength lager( or 8-10 pints) yep that may not seem a lot but is an adults weekly intake per day and I'm not exactly(at 5'6" & under 8 stone) an average size

I never have the heart palpitations but I get real flush and my hands get tingly ,I get numbness,and I feel like I am going to pass out,and I get an overwelming feeling of fear.Yes I've been to the doctor,I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same symptoms. I have been told i have a small hole in my ear drum, and some ringing. the pain is gone, the swelling has gone down, but there is still fluid, especially at night, when I wake in the morning my ear is crusty(sorry to be yuky) Its really begining to worry me now.

One of my friends has a cough that has lasted for two years. Thing is, its not because he's sick. They've been to every damn doctor that gave any hope of being able to diagnose and treat his cough, but nobody can come up with any answers. It's like hes got bronchitis, but he doesn't.

Now, after trying different doctors for 2 years, there resorting to hypnosis. But if this doesnt work, what might?

I don't think they've dabbled in eastern medicine yet, and I asked my mom about when she had a cough as a child. She said it was due to the soil where she lived and moving solved it. If they where to go on vacation this summer, how long would it have to be to see if it died down due to a climate change?

By the way, hes 18, and it just kind of started one day out of the blue. Not like a hanging symptom of a cold or anything.

So does anyone have any answers you wouldn't find at a hospital or alergist?

To start with alcohol is no longer in my vocabulary, second i am a minor so going to a doctor would be a last resort option. Now i feel still kinda dizzy when i move my eyes around and still a little heavy from drinking 5 days ago also i cant consentrate on like 1 object rly well like it seems that it squigals here and there . Now that night ... i passed out, don't remember a thing and my friend said i puked a lot. So with that said, these effects have diminished over the past 5 days but still remain, i would think they'd be gone by now. I'm some what of a hypochondriac, am I in any danger still now like somehow dieing cuz i hear A LOT about people dieing from over drinking but i dono how long you should be worried for >< and do you think the effects will ware off after a wile or do i need medical attention.
