i have type 1 and have had 4eye surges just wondering if any one else on here has it i deal with it good and will never ware a eye patch to hid it just looking for some friends

I don't have it sweetie, but that's very interesting that you have it and are willing to share that. I'm a nurse and I'm always willing to talk and listen to others share their experiences with their lives.

Although I do not have neurofibromatosis I do know about it and was suspected of having it. I was seen by a genetic team in Philadelphia many years ago. If you go to google.com and do a search on neurofibromatosis support groups you will find many available to you. Since I do not know where you live it would be easier for you to do the search yourself. Being involved with other people who understand exactly what is going on with you is such a great thing and they will have funny stories, sad stories and just life stories to share. Good luck!

I have a lazy eye that I had to wear an eye patch for when I was a kid. They put it on my good eye to try and strengthen the weak one. A close relative had to have surgery for a similar problem,so although I realize it doesn't compare to all you've gone through-I can sympathize-and wish you the best!!!
