I have been up writing a paper. All of a sudden, i had trouble catching my breath, the parts of my arms from my elbow to my hand felt numb and i felt very "out of it." I guess I felt lightheaded, but it was more along the lines of "out of it." I felt that when I talked, I heard my voice differently. Like maybe my hearing was going out. This went on for about 5-10 minutes..then I got chills. Next, I became really tired. What happened to me? If anyone can answer this accurately, please do.

The medical profession in the UK don't have any understanding of MCS.
I'm suffering so much. My friends have all disappeared, because they think I make this up! I have told my doctor my symptoms and he did look it up on the net, but he doesn't suggest anything, no treatments, no solutions, no support, no information, no formal diagnosis. Not even any sympathy. One of the other doctors at the practice even suggested this was a psychological thing! How come the medical profession here are so uneducated about this, and how am I supposed to manage with this debilitating nightmare of a disease without any assistance?

Any diet restrictions? How do gallstones form? Without a gallbladder, can you possibly damage other organs (e.g. Pancreas) ?

Thanks!

I have SLE Lupus and have pain all the time - the skin problems- chronic fatigue- the painful joints. The skin problem has given me an ulcerated leison on my leg that will not heal- the chronic fatigue keeps me doing much or going places. Anyone that has Lupus knows what I am talking about with all the systoms that this disease can cause. My Question is has anyone found a way to combat the effects of the systoms and led a better existence. I am on pain medication but that does not make life better or help with the chronic fatigue. From personal experience has anyone found that they were in the severe SLE stage and found something that made them feel better or even go into remission? The SLE Lupus is the worst one to have, there are several types of Lupus. Again, only people that have the SLE Lupus to answer, I have read everything from the Web so I do not need that type of answer.

My Mom has had a condition for close to 2 years and no one has helped her at all. I was hoping to somehow find a way for her to be on the show Mystery Diagnosis on the Discovery Channel so she can finally get somewhere in finding a diagnosis and resolving her problem. After searching Discovery, Discovery Health and the internet I am stuck on where to go to find this information. Please help.

I am wearing contact lens & have been so for the past 22 years. About 3 years ago I started having this type of vision. I lied to my opticians that I don't have such visions. Am I going blind? I'm worried.

It feels more painful if i touch the top of my belly button and if i feel the top part I can sort of feel inside not a lump but a hardened ring, like it feels like there is a ring inside but its not soft like ususal it feels like the cartiledge in our ear and it hurts. It couldnt be a hernia could it because it has been coming and going for years. What could it be?

I have a severe bloating feeling anytime I eat meals that consist of more than about 300 calories. I cannot eat anything with grease, fat, sugar, or excessive protein. The pain is usually on both of my sides and sometimes moves up into my stomach area just below my ribs. I have tried diets that cut out fats, simple carbs, and caffeine. Currently I can only eat about 3-4 times a day as long as the meals are small. If I start to get this feeling, I usually have to lie down and cannot move or eat for about 12-16 hours. I also break out in cold sweats. I used to have heartburn, but my doctor has prescribed me Prevacid to get rid of it. She also has me scheduled to take an ultrasound of my gall bladder, but does not think that is the case because the pain is not just in upper-right quadrant of my abdomen, but the whole area.

Thought it was gout but after 8 months of intermittent attacks finally diagnosed it. This stuff is painful and am only in early 40's. Does anyone know if diet helps change the disease? Especially since what I've read says 1/3 will go into Rheumatoid Arthritis.
