It's interesting that a scientist believe that autism can be linked to mirror neurons
because usually an autistic person is extremely repetitive. Maybe thats simply do to
routine rather than mimicking?

As disgusting as the title may sound, I have been experiencing extremely bad gas for about a month and a half or so. I have gas several times every few minutes, and very water/inconsistant stools. Is this something that I should have looked at immediately?

I think we will never have any more groundbreaking cures discovered for diseases, because pharmaceutical companies are simply looking to prolong or suppress symptoms to keep consumers medicated (and therefore constantly bringing in cash for the company). Am I being nihilistic? If this is true, then the capitalist system will eventually be our downfall.

And, ironically, I'm an accounting major (sigh).

had eye surgery 3 weeks ago to repair a detached retina and was told the was a possibility that cataracts might occur sometime in the future. I went in for 2 checkups during the 3 week period and was told everything looked fine. Now today 22 days after the surgery, I still cannot see anything at all out of the repaired eye and was told I need cataract surgery ASAP, that the retina surgery caused the cataracts to form almost immediately. The surgeon is losing credibility, as I went from doing very well to needing a second almost immediate surgery in the space of two weeks. Can anyone tell me if this is an expected outcome of surgery for a detached retina. Thanx

I dont know if it is computer strain or what, but I have gotten into the bad habit over the past few years of raising my eyebrows , while blinking. IT is kind of like I am readjusting or refocusing my eyes and it feels like I am releiving tension in my forehead or eyes, it is not something I cannot control, it is just like a strong urge to do this constantly , repeatedly, especially after I have been on the computer long time. I have even gotton lines on my forehead from doing it so much. Anybody else know about this? Is this a more serious condition than eye strain perhaps?

The doctor has ruled out filariasis, kidney & heart problems, deep vein thrombosis and had no other findings. I'm in my late forties and in generally good health, otherwise.

My elderly father with Parkinson's needs a pill dispenser that has slots for three times per day. I can only seem to find once a day or four times a day. Anyone know of a good source for one that is large, easy to open/use, and has slots for 3 times per day? I'm really desperate! Thanks.
