My foot isn't swollen and haven't had an attack in a year but every time I touch my left big toe joint it is painful. What is going on? Is there away to get rid of this daily pain? Is this a tophii?

best is to go back to your doctor, you need to get uric acid levels checked. Second best is an emperic course of NSAID's in high dose, but you have to have those prescribed by your doctor depending on your kidney function and history of gastric ulcers/GERD etc. If everything is negative then try rubbing some orajel once or twice a day. Do talk to your doctor though, good luck
