Pretty sure it's a yeast infection. To be sure look around the outer lining of the vagina if there is a white looking paste then it's a yeast infection. Also, if she has it then you most likely do too. It's not noticeable with males, so you can have it too. The problem with this is that if she gets it cleared up, and you don't then you'll just keep giving it back to her. Pretty much sucks! Another sign that it's a yeast infection is that it makes her itch, that sucks too! Good Luck!

Could be just perfectly normal discharge. Some girls have it more than others and some have it the most before their period. Regardless, she should go to an OB/GYN to make sure. I don't know how old your girlfriend is but I'm assuming you are not yet adults. If she doesn't want help from her mom making an appointment with a gynecologist, then she can just look online for her local Planned Parenthood and they will give her a free confidential evaluation. Good luck to you and just wanted to let you know that I have a lot of respect for you to be concerned enough for your girlfriend to ask a question like that. She's lucky to have you!

Could be a yeast infection IF she is uncomfortable such as sore. Now relax,,this is not an std & does not mean that she is dirty or cheating. It is common & easily cured with an over the counter medication. What can cause this is an alergic reaction to latex or sometimes from being sensitive to different soaps,,things like that. But,,it may not be.It may just be a natural discharge. Its a good thing that she can tell you anything.Thats being adultlike.

That sounds like a yeast infection. Have her try some over the counter yeast cream such as Monistat, and if this relieves her symptoms, then she will know for sure that it's yeast.
YEAST INFECTION:
characterized by itching and irritation of the vagina, vulva, or other mucous membranes, with a yeasty-smelling discharge; also called [candidiasis], an infection of the female genital tract by a yeast of the genus Candida (C. albicans) and characterized by vaginal discharge and vulvovaginitis; broadly : an infection (as thrush or tinea versicolor) caused by a yeast fungus.

This "white stuff" is normal, unless its in excessive amounts or a odd color like yellow or brown. If she itches its a yeast infection which can easily be cured by over the counter stuff or by going to see a gynocologist for stronger medication.

yeah as inappropriate as that is..its discharge..if you have been sexually active its just a way for..'down there' as you say it for a girl to clean that area..its how the body reacts
also...when it comes time close to a girls period it often does that too
if it seems wrong like the wrong color (white is fine) then she should go to a gynocologist. im 18 and i went, and its not scary at all. its completly confidential too, my mom knows but if your 18 you can go by yourself. there are also clinics you can go to for free support for that kind of stuff.

its probably just normal, healthy discharge, she can just look it up on the internet and compare the descriptions to what she is having. as long as it is somewhere close to what the descriptions say is "normal discharge" then she is fine. anything else, get checked out by a GYNO.

Well,
It could be any number of problems. One of which would happen to be an STD. You need to have your girl Friend so and see a doctor because if the problem goes unchecked it could create any number of problems none of which are safe. So have her go and get tested.

Tell her to see a doctor, only he can determine whether its just discharge or some kind of a disease.
