Are you referring to Crohn's disease? If so, you may go to webmd.com and do a search. With this condition, your body can't handle gluten so you have stomach/diarrea problems, but can do quite well if they learn to read labels and avoid gluten (which is in flours of different kinds). Rice flour is available at health food stores, as well as other foods without gluten. Go to yahoo and do a search on gluten; you'll find all kinds of information for avoiding it.

Ok first, Crohn's disease in not a sensitivity to Gluten, that is Celiac disease just to clear that up. Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease just like IBS or ulcerative colitis. There are many theories about what causes Crohn's, although none have been proven. One of the theories suggest that a person's immune system mistakes food and other substances as being foreign, and attacks, producing white blood cells which accumulate in the intestine, causing chronic imflammation leading to ulcerations and bowel injury. Treatment of Crohn's may be drug therapy, nutrition supplements, surgery, or a combination of these options. The treatment used depends on the location and severity of disease, complications, and the person's response to previous treatments. If you need more info dont be afraid to ask. Good luck and best wishes.
