Everyone has been so kind to answer my other questions about my brothers carotid blocking and possible heart blockage, but he had his last Dobutamine stress test yesterday and they say that his next appt is July 18th for follow-up. He has not heard any of the prior test results, only knows carotid is blocked, but not ultrasound results, or the echocardiogram. They say his legs are in really bad shape, which is why he went in in the first place and of course they found the carotid problem, so that and the heart testing took priority. I realize yesterdays tests wont be ready for a few days, but long before July 18th, so why wont they do anything before then, He is in so much pain, I just dont understand. Thank you again for all you patience and help. Marti

.....My 85 year year old mom has an eye condition that
has been going on for 15 years and worse now. Her eyes are almost continuously
weeping..immediately upon getting up...and stops when closing her eyes to sleep.
Nearly 7 physicians have attempted to help...given her a diagnosis of blepheritis,
with their treatment for ; sinusitis, allergies,
even surgery on her lower eye lids thinking that may help.
She lives in an apartment that has air conditioning that I feel is
the cause because of the lower humidity that is common with
central air. I am thinking of geting a humidity monitor...and if much lower than the 40 %
recommended .....I will get her some type of humidifier..Any suggestions.. please help.

i get comments from friends about the whites of my eyes being a yellowish hue...i understand this could be jaundice, but my skin isn't yellowing and the mucous membranes in my mouth aren't either...i also don't suffer from much fatigue or a loss of appetite...could it still be jaundice? or something else? i'm an otherwise healthy, 20 year old male! i'm worried!

My mum has just been diagnosed with a Thyroid problem - her memory has been really bad lately and I'm very worried that there may be another reason for this. I was unable to see the doctor with her, so wasn't able to ask her any questions.

My husband is an alcoholic. We have been married for seven years. I have tried for nearly four years to get him to get help for himself and lead a more sober life. This including a year of marriage counseling. I am moving out next week. I still love him but know I can no longer live with an alcoholic. Is there anything I can do to get him to get help for himself and hopefully save our marriage???
