The last time you visited an A+E/ER dept, what was your problem?

professional interest. How long did you wait? Did you get full explanations etc?

My son had dislocated his elbow.

Only waited a matter of minutes but couldn't understand the doctor.

He had manipulated his arm back into position but didn't explain it, then a nurse gave him some Calpol when I'd just told them I'd given him some.

I just thought the doctor was examining his arm then he turned round and said he should be OK now!

I had severe pains in my stomach and lower back - it turned out to be a kidney infection.

I waited 50 minutes to be seen, and then a further 6 hours in a room with a drip while they did tests and waited for results.

I did get pretty full explanations, and an appointment to be checked for kidney stones - the appointment was for 3 months after I was in A+E - so still waiting....!!

I opened the cupboard and was hit, from height, on the head by a Fray Bentos pie. I waited 2 hours, got my head x-rayed, was told the room would stop spinning if I would just stop walking around, sewn up, watched for a while, allowed to go home. The next day, I ate the pie.

2 broken metatarsal bones. I waited for over an hour to be seen, admittedly it was a busy afternoon and there were people who needed to be seen more urgently. All in all, it wasn't too bad.

I had an infected wound on my foot. I waited 8 hours.

I was in a car accident hit from behind and they saw me right away and explanations of all my questions asked and then some...A++++

i waited about ten mins and i didnt get any treatment, they just told me to rest it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx i really really really wanted crutches xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
