i get comments from friends about the whites of my eyes being a yellowish hue...i understand this could be jaundice, but my skin isn't yellowing and the mucous membranes in my mouth aren't either...i also don't suffer from much fatigue or a loss of appetite...could it still be jaundice? or something else? i'm an otherwise healthy, 20 year old male! i'm worried!

If the whites of your eyes have recently become yellow then it is possible that you have mild jaundice. The only way to have this checked is get examined by your doctor.
A simple blood test will clear up any diagnostic uncertainty. Jaundice is usually a sign of liver problems, which can often be treated once the cause is identified. The medication you are using is not reported to cause jaundice as a side effect.
There are numerous causes of liver disease and jaundice. Only a careful assessment by your doctor will be able to start the diagnostic process required to inform you properly about your symptoms.

As a mother of three (18, 15 and 10) I have seen all kinds of small things that turn out to be big by waiting...
I would go to the doctor - Just to be safe and get a medical opinion, although you may feel healthy it's good to have a least a yearly check-up with your family physician.
If it's financial thing there are always good agency in your local areas that can direct you to health clinics - best to catch anything early rather than wait for failed health.
If it's that you hate shots?..Get over it - Don't want to waste time or decide if you want..(new shirt.....doctor...New shirt... doctor..) Still listen to your head...It will save you a lot of heartache, and money if attended to early. Above all things...Your health is the most important thing.....(and teeth). Women LOVE GREAT SMILES.
Beside, if you are losing sleep over this, it could cause other health issues. Stop worrying and go anyway prevents ulcers....better safe than sorry.......wink> (mom of three)

Crying can cause inflammation and make your eyes appear yellow or reddish. It should clear up in a couple of days. Due to allergies my eyes always look blood shot and sometimes have a yellowish tint so I have to use eye drops. If it doesn't clear up in a few days you can seek medical advise from your doctor. Hope you feel better :p

Regardless of all the good advice you can receive here, there is not many doctors out there that would take risks on diagnosing without actually seeing the person.
What keeps you from seeing a doctor? Clearly you are concerned for your health. Doctors themselves occasionally seek diagnose from colleagues when it comes to their own health.
People die from gambling with their health, it's serious business trying to outguess mortality.

I've seen jaundice before and its not pretty. if your worried please go to the doctor especially if your eyes aren't always yellow. doesn't mean you have jaundice, might mean you have something else. and you wouldn't want to contaminate anyone if you have something that could be contagious.

I believe it to be low iron.. just take an iron suppliment or a good multi-vitamin with iron in it and you should be fine in short time!
My hubby has the same issue and it is low iron.... also eat your spinach and wheaties too! And a good seak would do some good too.
