My 11 year old was like this earlier this year. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with her...It got really bad and she wouldn't eat for days because of the pain. The doctor put her on medicine but that made it worse... so this is what we did... We changed her diet, reduced her stress, had her talk to a counselor, and then went back for another thorough exam. For children there could be many things wrong... from cysts, infection, blockages, even allergies. I hope they find something to help your daughter! for our daughter we cut back on milk (she only gets a small amount now and we suplement her calcium), reduced sugar, went whole wheat, more vegies, and juice, and no soda pop, reduced junk food, and easy to cook meals (yes more work for mom and dad but worth it!) and also sent lunches with her to school to have more control over what she ate there too. Then I give her back massages, which seem to help relax her stomach muscles and then she drinks green tea with mom ( we made a ritual of herbal and tea time with her and I)... again.. hope your daughter feels better!

I've actually seen a case of appendicitis that had inflammed and ruptured but the body had formed an abscess around the ruptured appendix. The kid didn't get deathly sick from the ruptured appendix because of the way the body had walled off the infection. This could be an atypical case of appendicitis, among other things.

I had my appendix out when I was 15. The pain was sudden and severe, and there was no doubt about it. If she's been to the hospital and they said it wasn't appendix, then you may have to consider that it could be stress-related. It's hard to think of our kids as hurting, upset, etc. But I wonder if this is the case here. The worst case scenario is that someone has molested her. Is there any possibility of that, because that can cause the child to have physical symptoms and phantom pains that can't be described. Hope this isn't the case, but better safe than sorry to find out, eh? Good luck

I don't know about appendicitis at all. I know my sister had terrible pains in her abdomen and back when she was younger, she went for many tests and It took a long time to discover that it was a kidney stone. I think many doctors did not consider it because she was young. She was older that you daughter I think, but only a couple of years or so older. I don't know if this might be the cause but it might be worth mentioning to a doctor. I don't know if your daughter was tested for this, or how exactly they do test for it.
Anyway, best of luck. I hope she feels better very soon.

Did they ever suggest an Ovarian Cyst?
I had those when I was about her age. I ended up having my right ovary removed and a cyst off the left one removed. I was 15/16 yrs old.
LOTS OF PAIN for MONTHS!!!
