It is best to work this one out with his doctor. Since this is your son, that is what I would do. I had a friend who suffered grand mal seizures and he smoked a joint a day and in over twenty years he has not had one since. He proved this to his doctor at Duke. He quit smoking for a week and had three that week. I know that didn't help you though. I thought it interesting though.

Its hard to treat with meds without side effects. I know of 2. Klonipin and Phenobarbathol. Klonipin being the most common. It slows ya down a bit, just find the right dose. best of luck

ummm, talk to ur GP first, but a common one is diazepem, or eppilem. these are meds. in Australia, so unsure about US, or where ever ur from...

just make sure your always checking his airway and removing objects from around him, putting him on his side, and put a pillow under his head, where possible.

i looked after a girl with 'tay sachs' disease once who had seizures regularyly, and it was hard, as she couldnt tell us how she felt either.

like i said before, talk to your GP

They may put him on Dilantin Infatabs, as young as he is. It worked for me when I was young, but as I grew, they had to try several different ones. The ones I'm on now seem to work fairly well--Depakote and Lamictal.
