2 days ago, I tripped and cut my left arm (4 inches long wound). 40 hours later, I decided to get a tetanus shot at the clinic. The doctor asked me to remove the band aid to have a look. At that time, the wound is already dried but not 100% sure. He then asked me to replace the band aid with a new one because its saturated with dried blood. He took a new band aid out of the drawer and open it. He was somewhat clumsy and i can see that he actually touched the sterilized part of the band aid several times before manage to place it on the wound properly.
Should I be worry that the doctor might have actually touched something or someone's else's blood before touching the bandaid and infect me with diseases like Hepatitis or HIV via the wound?
