When my son was small we gave him bovine extract from the herb store. He was always sick. I did not breast feed and I felt like he was lacking the antibodies that my milk would have provided in the first few months after birth. It helped immensly.
As for adults, Echinacia works great. I have always suffered from frequent kidney and sinus infections. The Echinacia stopped me from having them for over two years. The kidney specialist said it acted as a natural antibiotic, just like the one he prescribes for his patients with recurring infections. I also had no colds, flu, or sore throat both winters. I was told it wasn't good for you to take it all the time, so I took a break from it and got sick within a month of going off it. I started back and rarely ever have anything wrong with my immune system.
Also, make sure you take a daily vitamin as well as your children.
You and your children also need a healthy dose of the outdoors. I have also read that keeping your house too clean will cause your children to have more allergies. Because their immune system gets a boost from actual exposure to germs and bacteria. All those colds and sniffles they get when they are small actually strengthens their immune system against the next attack. Take them out and let them play in the dirt. They will love it and it is good for them.

Unfortunately, children are exposed to lots of germs everyday and the only way that they will build immunity---is to have this exposure. Over time, their body builds up it's own immunity.

However, germs are spread often by touching items that have been infected by someone who has a virus. The key is frequent handwashing with warm, soapy water. As a supplement, you can give your kids the moistened towelettes.
You need to wash your hands as well.

After leaving a public bathroom with hands cleaned---show your kids to open the door with a paper towel and then dispose it. This trick was shown to me by the nurses that I work with---for everyone that washes their hands, there are still plenty of folks who don't and then go on to open the door.

Another theory is to get plenty of fresh air--even in the winter time. A Pediatrician I was friends with said that "the kids who were couped up all winter long in a warm house were more prone to frequent colds and infections"

To avoid spreading colds through your home---again encourage the hand-washing, when kids have a cough or are sneezing---(great trick) have the sneeze or cough into the front of their arm (In front of elbow at the crease). This way, their germs do not get on their hands or spread in the air.

A good diet is the best you can do. Fruits and Veggies, limited meat NOTHING FRIED, nothing white.

I also take Juice Plus+ a nutritional whole food, capsules. made from vine ripe, organically grown fruits and veggies. The company also has a program to get free product for children between the ages of 6 and 16 as long as one adult is taking the product (one adult-one child) www.juiceplus.com?+Lb53116

I haven't had a cold or flue in 6 years.

The three things you have listed are the best ways to build up your immune system. Also something that is overlooked is simply washing your hands.

Eating or juicing vegetables and fruits on a regular basis is the easiest way to keep your immune system from breaking down - I have been juicing for 5 years now and have yet to catch even a cold since! :-)

Hi there !
Proper vaccinations at the right time..
In addition, if there is any exposure to a particular disease, inoculation with the respective gamma globulin can be done, after checking up with your consultant.
Then of course, treatment at the right time..
This is in addition to the proper food and other essential supplements.okay ?

best wishes !

one way is by introducing small amounts of bacteria into your diet. I'm not suggesting you lick the pavement, but eating meat that's been hung for a longer time , cheese with natural bacteria, being in the outdoors (not all disinfected environment)
