Did you get the vaccine as a child? I think all kids get it now, not sure how long ago they started it, but i think its required before starting school unless you've had it.
Maybe thats why you havent gotten it.

Remember that everyone is affected differently from these different so called childhood diseases.
Your brother may have looked like Freddie Kruger and hideous were-as you may only get one or 2 lesions that you may not even notice. If you have been introduced to the disease you will more than likely get it in some way or another. Don't rule out your system may be immune to a portion of the symptoms
