Three days ago I received a flu shot. I felt fine until today. Achy, fever 100.2 and an inch from the injection site it is red, swollen, very tender and the red area is the size of a half dollar. Should I be concerned?

Call your Dr.

However, you may have been getting sick and not know it and when you got the shot, it activated it. They usually ask you when you get it if you're sick so it may just be something along those lines. Most likely, you were getting sick and it just got activated, you should be fine in the long run, but definitely call the Dr. or the place you got the shot at and explain it to them.

There are no live microorganisms in flu shots. You are thinking yourself sick. 100.2 is a puny fever. Sounds like whoever gave you the shot needs to work on their technique.
You have a mild case of localized cellulitis which will go away.

First of all call your doctor to make sure.
Secondly, try to raise your immune system more. Vitamin C really helps.
