yes u can..serological tests are available which can detect the infection..also urinary excretion of the viral bodies can be done...
infections like rubella,cmv,toxoplasmosis and herpes can have severe effects on the fetus..so ideally you should get your tests done before pregnancy..
consult your obstetrician for details...

You could get tested but your obstetrician's question will be, "what will you do with the results?" Difficult to avoid CMV exposure since most people who have it show no symptoms so if you're CMV negative, I don't know what you could do about it - maybe avoid getting pregnant if you're worried about CMV infection during pregnancy?
