I don't think it does. It's just a sad attempt at an anti-meat campaign by PETA. Oh, those people who died from it? Who says it wasn't some other disease? I'm sure people would jump on the chance to blame it on "bird flu" just to scare people... What do other people make of this?

Just find it interesting that after all the brouhaha (including on this venue) about Mr. Speaker and his horribly infectious TB now they're saying they were wrong. He still has TB just not that strain.

The govt should publicly apologize to him and his family and the rest of the nation! But I'm quite sure they won't...... fear is a great tactic for population control.

Thoughts?

I came down with a terrible case of strep throat on 6/23. I went to the doctor on 6/25 and got a shot of penicillin and then 5 days of amoxicilin. I took all of the amoxicilin and was feeling almost 100% better by 6/30. However, this morning I woke up with a headache and a sore throat again.

Do I need to go back to the doctor? I can't afford to miss any more work...

You hear all these stories about how you can catch meningitus and how fast it kills you. Apparently it is contagiouse. But where do we catch it. From other people? from airporne pathogens? from surface germs? If we catch it from eachother and it kills quickly then how come we dont have meningitus outbreaks? How is it so easily caught yet so rare?

Someone told me that researchers have proved that "Hepatis B" is transmitted through sweat. Supposedly, a wrestler passed the disease to his fellow wrestlers through the bodily fluid. Do any of you have links (reliable) to some of these studies? What do you think about that? What about those of us who go to the gym? What about crowded places like nightclubs where people are al packed in together and sweating? If this info is true, what can we do to prevent it? what other diseases are trasmitted through sweat?

I may have been exposed to HIV two years ago when I shared a tattooing needle with someone who was HIV+.

It's been two years and i have been healthy. i also smoke and drink often as well as work 40 hours a week.

would i have experienced syptoms by now, especially since i engage in so many activities which would lower my immune system anyway?
