If he's running a high fever, I'd be straight back to the doctors to be honest. Don't want it getting a hold again - maybe needs more antibiotics. Poor little man :(

Fever again--to the Dr ASAP---
He could have had a pneumonia resistant to or became resistant to the antibiotics or it may not have been enough--probably.... In the last case what happens is he takes the antibiotics for say 2 weeks and it does kill the germs but kills the weaker ones first then the stronger ones are left.. So then they start causing fever etc... and are much more dangerous and harder to treat SO the sooner the treatment starts the better... I would go to the ER if I had to--If it is nite there like here where I am... Give him a hug and a kiss.. and take him in.... Good Luck and God bless...........

Not to frighten you.....my son had several bouts of pneumonia, and was hospitalized. And yes, I gave him antibiotics, however the fever would not go down. We even put him in lukewarm water...not extra cold, lukewarm...Thank god, he is fine now.
Our other son passed away from pneumonia. 9 months old..
took him to the doctor's the nite before, he gave us medication. To no avail....this fever shot up so fast and high by the time we got him to a hospital....he was gone..only 5 hours....
Don't take a chance.......go see the doctor.
God Bless you and your young one!

Sorry without seeing your son no one can really answer this question.
There are so many questions to ask in assessment but, if your son is having a fever that you cannot get to go down he needs urgent medical attention.
Unfortunately children his age can get very sick very quickly and you really need to monitor that his fever goes down.
Feel free to e-mail me if I can be of further help

the pneumonia might have come back but the fever might be something entirely different since his immune system might be weak from fighting the pneumonia and it's not fully devolved at that age so it would be easy for him to contract a different disease
but if you give him medication and he doesn't get better overnight then take him to the doctor's first thing in the morning

Take him to the doctor. And if his fever is going up you need to take him to the emergency room right away. Not to panic now. I wish him the best and to you guys.
