Actually baths can make UTIs worse, unless you are bathing in just plain water. Even then you need to be careful. Try taking only showers and wash with a very mild soap and rinse thoroughly. Go to the bathroom whenever you feel the urge, don't hold it. Drink cranberry juice (the real stuff, not the cocktail, the less the sugar the better) and green tea. Also make sure you are getting plenty of water, it helps to flush things out. If you are having recurrent UTIs you probably need to be placed on stronger antibiotics for a longer period of time. I get kidney infections easily so I know how this is.

I actually have questions,
This is a recurrent thing. Makes me wonder what are you doing, as far as hygiene? Do you douche? Do you use vaginal deodorants or powders? How often do you use Them? How many baths a week do you take?
Answers to these questions can help you get to the bottom or the recurrences.
Did you answer yes to any of them? All these things do th same, They wash away your good vaginal and vulva bacteria and others take over causing you these infections.
The more antibiotics you take, the worse the problem will become, cause again you are also killing your good bacteria. Does this make sense?
You need to find out what is causing them and STOP doing that. Right now your doctor is treating the symptoms because he doesn't know what is causing it. Yes he knows is a bacteria, but why was the bacteria in your bladder?
On in the ureters?
How did it get there?
Is not normal for bacteria to be there.
I hope this helps

dear sarah uti can be pain in the back side , firstly u must get a urine culture to find out wht bacteria is it,dont miss out a single dose of the medixcation, even after the infection is over keep inseting the v-gels or the medication to put internally.have lots of water cranberry juice is good aswell, secondly i would also advice u to askure gyn to give u an ultra sound of ure bladder and kidneys juz to make sure evrythings okay, sometime women develop allergies to condoms or kyjelly n stuff so that could also be one of the reasons.dont worry utis can be troublesome.

Hi,
First you do a urine culture and sensitivity test.According to the reports you have to take medicine in consultation with a Physician. After two weeks of treatment you have to repeat the test again to find out whether the infection is cured or not. After initial cure you have to take preventive treatment [chemoprophylaxis] for three to six months. Also do Ultrasound scan of abdomen and pelvis to find out the reasons for recurrent UTI.Common things being kidney stones, stasis of urine in the bladder after voiding and structural abnormalities in the urinary tract.
Also drink atleast three litres of water daily.Voiding urine after intercourse may reduce recurrance.Check your partner and treat him also if he has uti.

Drink cranberry juice. According to a website that I found, you should drink 100% cranberry juice (not cranberry juice cocktail) since it creates an environment that is acidic enough to prevent the growth of bacteria that causes many urinary tract infections (commonly referred to as UTIs). I hope this helps!

Never heard of anything. But maybe you need to see an Internal Medicine specialist about the recurring problem. Maybe your diet is bad. Go see a Homeopathic practioner, they might be able to help you.
