My question is about the hepititis b test. I know that if someone gets this test and has positive surface antibodies and a neg. antigen that it is either because they have an acute infection OR have been successfully vaccinated. What if the person doesn't know if they are vaccinated or not? How would you know if you had an acute infection or a successful vaccination from these results. Please help. Thanks!

Hi, i was counting us and canadian money and forgot to wash my hand =S there happened to be a pimple on my face and accidently popped it with my fingers. I know it sounds stupid but could this transmit any type of disease from all the money i was counting that caught on my hand.

Both my parents were very sick with the flu the past week. My dad has had it for a week, but is almost 100% better, and my mom has had it for 5 days, and is much better. I've been wearing gloves, hand wash my hands every 10 minutes, mask my face, stay away from them, and dont use same objects as them. Are the precautions im taking good, and now that they are feeling a bit better, can I start to use the same utensils as them?

I am not talking about getting drunk or anything, but I heard somewhere that having a small amount of alcohol (like a shot of something strong) when you are sick will kill bacteria in your bloodstream. Is this at all possible?

Hi, all. This is for a research paper on web technology and accessibility.
There was recently a TV commercial I saw about a website (I think) for doctors to get quick, updated medical diagnosis information.
There was a female doctor, and she had a patient with three key symptoms. She looked at the camera and said, "These three signs could indicate 2,000 diseases," (paraphrasing).
Did the commercial give the name of the website? Do you have the name of one that does?
I doubt this is like WebMD, for the lay person, this is more for the doctor who needs the most current, etc...
Thank you kindly!

Alright I've read up about this bus I need help. I went to my girlfriends house last night drinking with her family and we woke up at 1 am to hear her sister puking... Her sis has been sick all day throwing up... Last Wednesday her brother had the same thing... I washed my hands, didn't get to close to her, sat beside her when she wasn't sick the night before but I was wondering how long will it take to get sick? Will I get sick?

I have never sleepwalked in my life. But I am only wondering if there is a possibility if you can trip or get seriously hurt in your sleep while sleepwalking.
