Your best bet is to try to prevent them by drinking extra fluids to keep the urine dilute so the bacteria is flushed out of your bladder. Take cranberry capsules or drink cranberry juice several times a day. Urinate before and immediately after sex. Wipe front to back after using the toilet. Do not use soaps or body washes in this area. Also if you have a UTI be sure the doc cultures it so he can be sure to put you on the right antibiotic for the UTI. You might also want to pick up some test strips aka dipsticks for urine at the drug store so you can monitor things at home more closely.

An antibiotic called Cipro or Cypro. Also , Cranberry juice and lots of water. Go to your Physician , because when UTI's are left untreated it can make its way to your kidneys and cause a more serious infection.

See a Dr.
Cranberries have a reputation for preventing UTI. I am not sure about treating them. You may need antibiotics.
