If the flu is a strain of viruses that cause respratory infection...
then WHY wont an antibiotic work for it?
I dont get it..
I UNDERSTAND that antibiotics dont work on viruses....
but if the virus CAUSES an "infection" then why dont they prescribe antibiotics...

Antibiotics work on INFECTION!

Can you get hiv if some liquid from a washing bowl splashed into your eyes. Lets just say that someone's cuttery inside the bowl had some hiv blood (one or two drops). But the bowl is holding a about a few cups of water. Therefore the blood would be diluted in it. If a few drops of the liquid inside the washing bowl splashed into my eyes does that mean the hiv will be transmitted into my body? Also on the same day I had a nose bleed and got some blood into my eyes. Even if the hiv is not enough to transmitt, once it mixes with my blood, on the surface of my eye, can it reproduce enough to transmitt hiv? or at least can it even actually reproduce in my eyes with the blood? (hiv can live for a few days in room temperature)

This virus has been around since practically the dawn of time. Sure they have a vaccines for before and right after exposure, but what about those unlucky people who contract it unknowingly and have no indication that anything is seriously wrong until just days before death? And what about the poor animals that are infected with it? Are we really so wrapped up in ourselves that we can't take some time out to help our furry bretheren? I'm sure curing a virus is much easier than curing muscular dystrophy or AIDS (not that they don't deserve attention).
