I don't share drinks very often but yesterday I shared my water bottle with someone. 24 hours later (today) my throat hurts and I'm worried that I might have contracted some type of infection. I haven't had mono before. I don't know if the other person has had mono, but I know that she doesn't have mono right now.

Can you get mono from someone who has had mono but doesn't have it currently?
Do mono symptoms develop within 24 hours, or do I have something else?
Why isn't there a vaccine for mono?
Does everyone get mono eventually, or can some people avoid getting it?

Or at least tell me what you think is wrong...

About a week ago, I began to get a bad cold: stuffy nose, headaches, coughing, ect. By Wednesday I felt much better, but then on Thursday morning, I woke up and felt like I was swallowing needles. I went to the doctor yesterday with a fever of 101, and I thought it was strep. When they gave me the strep test, it tested negative...but the doctor still insisted that it was strep. I was a little annoyed that he did not do more testing to see what it is. He gave me antibiotics, but the pain is still very severe, and my glands (in my neck) are so swollen you can see them through my neck.

Nothing I do is making the pain go away (and I've had strep so many times I have quite a few methods).

Who needs a flu shot now? These are a safe alternative to the controversial flu shot which has even put some people to death.
Every kid and person over 50 should be carrying a pack of these around.

Hi there, I have worked with homeless people in the past about 2 years ago. Shortly after that i had this pain that went down my back and then had some severe chills the same night. Went to bed and woke up with urinary symptoms that were really bad. So i went to a doctor and he gave me antibiotics which didn't really help much. Since then I have had all the tests done. blood tests urine tests and a cystcopy. And now i have a low burning back pain that has been there almost the whole time. It never goes away day or night. I have abdominal tenderness as well. Could this possibly be extra TB considering i have had an x ray of my chest?
