i've always wanted to travel to Africa but is it safe for my health?

Would you recommend it?
You know there are a lot of diseases like Ebola, Malaria, HIV...etc.

The US CDC lists disease risks and recommends which vaccines to get before traveling to a different country at the link below. Travel always involves a higher risk of getting a disease than staying at home, but if you know what diseases are present at your destination, and take precautions to avoid those diseases, then there isn't a great risk.

My family has traveled all over the world, and been in some pretty unhealthy places. My sister once got intestinal parasites in India, which took a few months to get rid of, and my wife ended up with some unknown type of fever from an insect bite that flattened her for a few weeks, but it cleared up with antibiotics. All in all, these things were inconvenient, but no lasting effects.

Depends on where in Africa. There are many places where water is safe, and medical services great, e.g. Namibia, Botswana. If you want to go elsewhere, have hepatitis A and B vaccination, take malaria prophylactic (if you plan to go to malaria area), and drink only bottled watter and you should be fine.

there are a number of illnesses in this usa to yet,with the main suitable medicine prevention is 9/10 achieveable so based which area of Africa you have been questioning of going see your wellbeing care expert & get what you like,have an excellent time .
