I am 41 yrs old my heart rate has gone from 45bpm to an average of 38bpm when resting, this has happened over 15 yrs. I have been to see my doctor, and have been in hospital for 5 days where various test wetre done, was given clean bill of health, and anything I am feeling is just with in the boundries.

My every day work involves hard work and a lot of exercise, generaly through the day I feel the odd palpitations. I have also lead a healthy and sporty life, cycling every day 20 miles, 1-2 hrs in gym

My question is a heart rate of 38bpm normal for me, and how low must it go before it becomes a problem.

He Graduated in 2004 he was in Football and Wrestling all 4 Years. 5 Months ago he had a bad Cough so we took him to the Hospital E-Room he was diagnosed with Bronchitis, He was prescribed Steroids,Antibiotics, and an Inhaler. 2 Days later he started having Abdominal pain,Vomiting, and Diarreaha. So we took him back to the Hospital. He was then told there was some kind of problem with his Bladder (it was swollen and putting pressure on his bowels and intestines) so he was given a Cathiter and they kept him overnight. at 2 A.M. we were called at home. He was taken to C.C.U. because he was having problems breathing turns out he was given Morphine for pain and he had a bad reaction to it. so he was given Narcan to counter the Reaction. his heart rate jumped to 200 BPM. then they gave him something else to slow his Heart down. it slowed to 45 BPM. at 4:07 A.M he died of an enlarged Heart. From the time he was given the Morphine until Death was about 6 Hours.

Hi, My wife has the above symptoms. She didn't want to post anything but I figure.. hey.. nothing too lose at this point.

O.k. She has had a good work up from her Dr. and Coronary Specialist. Thallium test(spelling?), Cornary CTA and so far negitive from any obvious symptoms, EKG'S. Cholesterol is good etc.. all looks good. Not much stress in her life right now and only works part time.

She doesn't have pain when she exercises (fast walking).. just when she relax's ... not every time.. just once in awhile. The pain in the jaw left arm etc.. so I have too be concerned.. besides... yea... *here it comes... no snuggly in the bed while she is having problems so it is better for all of us...( that means me)... that we get this resolved so I am looking for any thoughts that you may have that we can research.

We are learning as we go and just trying to gather info. so we can make better decisions about future treatment decisions.

When I get stressed, like in a pitty argument. I will physically feel a sharp pain where my heart is and my heart starts beating fast and I feel like it's hard for me to breath. Those are the only symptoms I feel when I have that sharp pain. I am 19years old and a female. Any ideas?

(I'm 22, by the way)
last week the doctor told me that my blood pressure was too high, that it was pre-hypertensive. around sunday my chest started to feel tight. I've been dizzy, short of breath and pretty tired for the most part (although often I do not sleep as much as I should). Am I look at a serious heart disease? or do I just need to change my life style?
