Where can I find information on Acute Myocardial Infarction? I want to know who takes the responsibility to collect data for the studies made to make possible improvement. Who will be collecting the data? I am just curious I've ask several people but they don't have an anwer. Could you direct me where I can find such information?

The AMA collects the data from state agencies. The system works as long as the doctors do their part.

Many organizations collect these results. Universities, hospitals, labs it depends on what you want to know, as to who to ask. Some do studies on over weight, some on stress, some on lifestyle, etc. Acute Myocardial Infarction is simple a sudden Heart Attack (or no previous history). Anything can come into play.

this information is collected by various sources, such as hospitals, ambulance service and doctors to name a few, there is spoecific heart reporting forms that are filled in after a cardiac event and the data is analised and stored for future reference and educational purposes, in Britain its the brittish heart foundation and its the American heart foundation that play the largest role in this documentation.

I would think possibly the American Heart Association or one of the organizations who monitor the health condition. I'm sure our wonderful government has something! They don't miss much these days!

sounds like you might check pathologists or Dr.'s performing post mortem examinations....who's in the morgue doing autopsies????
