Symptoms listed, yes, as that's the complications of having CHF. Other organs, like the kidneys and lungs may become affected, too.

CHF is a multi-organ disease, and it'll effect more than the heart, so many other symptoms will show up. The medications used to control CHF add to the malaise.

Mom's been living with CHF for 20 years and has diabetes, too. So you can live a long time with it, if you manage the condition(s) well.

Medications that are often used are: ACEI/ARB (controls blood pressure and heart rate); with a diuretic (controls edema); beta or calcium channel blockers if there's an irregular heart beat; if the cholesterol is high a statin; blood thinners are used if the patient is a stroke risk or have arterial plaque; potassium supplements if a non potassium sparing diuretic is used. If diabetic, it is strictly controlled as complications with diabetes has poor prognosis.

When in doubt, please consult with your physician. Only they have the intimate details of your condition and can answer your questions based on your health history. Everyone online is different as our conditions are different as well as our bodies, and what we have will be different that what you're experiencing. There's no one-size-fits-all solution in the treatment of any condition, it must be tailored to your own body and condition.
