Have any diabetics out there tried some different birth control pills or depo, and how did they affect you? Yaz seemed to really mess up my blood sugars, Femcon is a bit better. Any other experiences you can share?

I was just diagnosed with diabetes and I am 7 weeks pregnant. Obviously, I'm supposed to avoid sugary treats--but the doctor acted like starchy foods would raise my blood sugar too. I really want to make sure my blood sugar is stabilized for my baby's health. So, if you know, what are specific diabetic-friendly foods, and what are foods (other than the obvious sweets) that I should steer clear of? Thanks for any advice!

I think I have diabetes. I have to go the bathroom 5 times during the night to urinate. My feet tingle and I feel tired all the time. I don't have other signs like vomiting, extreme thirst or weight loss.

I am 80 pounds overweight and have been for years. Do I have diabetes and can it be reversed before it's too late??????

I do exercise every other day but just cant get the weight off.

My boyfriend is a type 1 diabetic who was recently diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy. Before he got his diagnosis, his pain was moderate. Now it seems like it goes to extremes, All of a sudden he's in crippling pain that almost brings him to tears. What strikes me as odd is that when he's in this horrific pain, if he gets distracted (i.e. telephone call, something cool on tv, etc) his pain will disappear until he's not distracted anymore. I love him to death but I know sometimes he does *admittingly* play the sympathy card and nobody seems to notice but me. I understand that he does genuinely have pain and neuropathy, but does this seem a bit out of the ordinary or is it just me?

My only symptoms are urinating often, and my vision is blurred only a little... I'm really scared at the possibility to be honest, but I'm just wondering, do these symptoms mean that I definitly have diabetes?

I'm still going to check, but until I get to the doctor's office, I won't know, I really need some support, I won't be able to get to my doctor until next week... I made an appointment already.

Just help me please.

For the past couple of weeks I have been having issues, and I think it has something to do with my blood sugar. About 2 or 3 hours after I eat I start to become really tired, light headed, clammy, a headache starts, I feel restless, and the longer I stand up the closer I feel to passing out. A week ago I wasn't able to get breakfast in the morning, and about 5 hours later I ended up passing out. Now when I sit down my feet and hand feel like they're not getting very much circulation (it kinda feels like they are swelling up). My roommate says it has something to do with my blood sugar probably and she told me to eat some of those little peanut butter crackers and drink water every couple of hours. All of my symptoms go away after I eat and drink some water or juice, but I was wondering if there was anything else I could do, and if anyone had any idea what is wrong? Thanks a ton!
