Yes, but it has to be in moderation. It is a carbohydrate and as all carbs. it has to be measured they are only allowed a certain amount of carbs. They have to learn how to eat healthy, Juice is allowed but in only 4 oz. and you have to read the serving size and know what they are allowed. If we eat sugar we have to give up the foods that are good for us.
ALL DIABETICS AND FAMILY MEMBERS TAKING CARE OF DIABETICS SHOULD GO TO CLASSES FOR DIABETICS AND LEARN HOW TO READ LABELS AND COUNT CARBOHYDRATES THIS IS USUALLY 10 OF TIME DIVED UP IN TO SEVERAL DAYS.
WE CAN LIVE HEALTHY AND KEEP OR ORGANS AND LIMBS IF WE DO THIS I JUST FINISHED ALL MY CLASSES AND LEARN A LOT, BUT EVERY YEAR THEY LEARN SOMETHING NEW AND WE HAVE TO GO AND REFRESH UP ON THE NEW KNOWLEDGE.
ALSO LOOK UP THE AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION ON LINE AND THEY CAN HELP.
I'M THE YOUNGEST ONE IN MY FAMILY THAT HAS IT AND I WAS NOT HAPPY BUT I'M LEARNING HOW TO DEAL WITH IT EVERYDAY AND IT TAKES TIME AND IT ISN'T EASY AT FIRST.

all forms of sugar needed to be limited. There are times when blood sugar goes too low and you must have an OJ to bring it back to normal limits. Certain fruits are higher in sugar than others. watermelon is very high as well as grapes. Stay away completely from dried fruits. But you really should consult a nutritionalist.

Yes, at least this diabetic can. It's like carbs... you just have to be aware of how many you take in. Sugar and carbs both have 4 calories per gram. As long as you keep those numbers low, your blood sugar will be much easier to manage. Want to learn more? Here are a few things that I've learned:

RE:
Can diabetics eat fruit?
Is it just "added sugar" that they can't have? Or all forms of sugar? Can they eat fruit and drink 100% juice?

Yes they should be able to eat fruit because they have natural sugars. But you should always consult a doctor is you're not sure.

Diabetics can have sugar. They just need to take the proper meds for it.

As with all foods, when you eat fruit , you must count carbs and plan for them in your diet.
Pineapple is great. It does have a lot of carbs so just count and treat as necessary.
Enjoy
