an hour after eating is not a good time to test. Your food is just peaking into sugar. 2 hours after is okay that way you can make sure the sugar is coming down. I would ask your doctor about testing times.

1 hr. after food is not generally a recommended time for testing, since it is during the glucose spike (from the food). In any case i would say that less than 180 is good. However, it should be tested 2 hr. after the meal, and ideally that should be under 150.

I do not think that you should test one hour after a meal. The American Daibetes Association recommends 2 hours after a meal and it should be under 180 at this time and it should be 140 or less when you get ready to eat your meals.
Fasting level should be between 90-130mg/dl

I would say, it should be less than 180, and less than 140 2 hours after the first bite of a meal.

Can depend on what you were before you ate. 2 hours after you should not be more than 40 points higher of what you were before you ate. 1 hour after you're going to be probably another 20-30 points higher than that.

generally lower than 120 used to be the norm doctors recommended...these days they are stricter.. recommend closer to 90...again please consult a doctor if you or someone has abnormal sugars rather than depend on the internet as your doc or nurse or PA will take or should take into effect several other factors relating to your health and do not rely on internet
also please make sure you or someone caliberate the glucometer periodically or if your lab blood sugar and finger stick blood sugar is way off...i know for a fact that many patients ignore this. contact your physician/ clinic if you need help with this
