My grandmother was diagnosed with diabetes earlier this year and I would like to make her an apple pie for Thanksgiving since it is her favorite. I am not having much luck finding one that includes the pie crust as well as the filling. She said that she would just eat the filling, but I would love for her to be able to enjoy the whole thing. If anyone knows a recipe or a site or book that has one please let me know. Thank you so much.

I am currently looking into getting an insulin pump. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a specific brand, what their pro's and con's might be, and any questions that I should ask my doctor about. Also, does it seem like insurance companies prefer one brand to another?

lately i've been hearing negative stories about aspartame (used in most sugar free drinks inc. diet coke/ pepsi max)
There are claims that it can cause all manner of problems to your health including headaches, blindness.... and it has even been linked to cancer.(there are apparently nearly 100 side effects)
what do you think?
have you experienced this?
do you believe it?

Hi my daughter is 2 1/2 years old, recently she has been drinking excessively and constantly waking up soaking wet several times in the night.
I am frequently changing her nappy when we are out and when we are at home i am emptying her potty every 10 minutes this has only recently occured and even during the height of the summer when she would be expected to drink more her fluid intake was the same as normal.
basically what im asking is does any one out there have diabetic children and do they think this is linked i read that blurred vision is another symptom and she has just got her first pair of glasses.
If some one could give me some advice before i take her to the doctors i would be very grateful.
thanks

I have all of the symptoms of diabetes:
excessive thirst
frequent urination
irritability
blurry vision
fatigue
excessive hunger

I got tested for diabetes after fasting for 8 hours, but the test came back negative. Is it possible to test negative for diabetes, but its acutally a bad test? I am just wondering what is causing these symptoms if its not diabetes. Thanks!
