The classic triad of symptoms is frequent urination (polyuria), increased thirst (polydipsia), and increased appetite (polyphagia).

Often times diabetics will present with weight loss (even though they're eating more than normal) and heavy fatigue. Blurred vision is a common symptom, too.

There are a few different types of test that can be run to help you find out if you have diabetes and what kind. Some are as simple as taking a drop of blood and checking your sugar level, some require you to not eat for 8-15 hours, and some have you ingest a strong sugar mixture.

Diabetes has several serious complications, so if you suspec it, don't hesitate to get it checked out. Most cases are very treatable, but it's *ALWAYS* better to get it early.

Wikipedia has a good site with some general information, it can be found: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diabetes
So does the Center for Disease control: http://www.cdc.gov/diabetes/faq/basics.htm

Hope that helps,
Odd

I started getting kinda tired for no particular reason. I also didn't have the desire to exercise like I used to. I couldn't judge it by being thirsty because I have always liked to drink water, but the main thing I noticed was I urinated way too much. I would also get irritable and shaky. Yep, started gaining weight without changing my diet. I suppose that was the BIG sign.

I hope this helps you. I keep mine controlled pretty good now, so, just go your doctor and get a fasting blood sugar.

Eat a light meal the day before you have this done, and don't eat anything after 8:30 p.m. Absolutely no high carbs or sugars the day before the test because it will affect the test and give you a false high blood sugar rating. But, do not fast the day before. That will not work either.
Absolutely, do not eat anything the morning of your test, not even coffee. That say black coffee won't hurt anything but it does to me.
If you are 6'2" and weigh 226, you are not really fat, just a healthy slightly overweight person, You shouldn't have any problem losing that small amount of weight.

Good luck, and get yourself tested real soon.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

If your urine is very strong smelling. That is an indicator. Also, if you have sores(especially lower limbs) that are slow to or won't heal. If you know when you feel "different" if not eating or eating sugarier foods. Also, fluctuations in your blood pressure. Your doctor should do a screening if you are concerned. A lot of times, diabetes can be controlled with simple changes in your diet. Contact your doctor!

Overweight? If you are that is a major factor. Father was diabetic and never took take of himself. Some symptoms are: blur vision, urinating excessively, thirsty (more than usual), tired all the time.
If you have any of these "GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR" Diabetes is a very very bad illness. It can lead to blindness, poor circulation which can lead to amputations. You don't want to risk being diabetic and not check yourself.

See the ADA web site...it has tons of information. See your doctor, there are several blood tests that will tell you for sure if you have diabetes. While you are waiting start to modify your diet and easy way to start is by watching your carbs and salt intake. Write down everything you eat and drink for a few days to show to your doctor as well. Good luck...

See your doctor soon.

My son-in-law had all those symptoms, and he did have diabetes, but now he has it under control, has lost weight, and feels great. It's very treatable, and they are finding out more all the time. He was also 25, and there is no trace of diabetes in his family.

You need to go to the doctor and get your blood tested. You could have diabetes. But don't panic....it's treatable. You have all the symptoms....even the weight gain. If it is diabetes, once you get your sugar under control, your weight will even out.
