normal blood glucose level is between 80-120 g/dl
it is optimum if you keep your glucose level in this range
however till 130 g/dl is acceptable but keep in mind if you control your diabetes you will delay the complication .
what you have is uncontrolled DM and that is not good
my advice is take care of your diet, take your pills or insulin regularly ,if you are doing all of this then consult your doctor for better control whether s/he will change your medication or change your diet or whatever it takes to control your DM

Hi there !
The normal Blood glucose level is 80 - 120 mg% (fasting level) and upto 160 mg% in random samples...
In your case or any similar cases wherein you get confused, best thing is :
1. get a Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT) done by a reputed lab, after consulting your Diabetologist ! It gives you the indication of the glucose metabolism in the body ! !
2. Till you do that, a correct Fasting Blood suar and a post prandial Blood sugar level will give you the approximate idea..
FBS level should be 80 to 120 and the
Post Prandial Blood sugar level can go upto 140 or 160 mg% depending upon the technique and the laboratory !
But see to it that you are sticking onto the strict Diabetic diet ..
best wishes !

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

blood glucose changes quickly in the body. it varies with diet. goal level before you eat is <120, goal level after you eat is <160. the level can depend on where you take the blood from. fingersticks are the most accurate, pick a finger and prick yourself on the sides of the end of that finger (not on the pad because that is tougher skin). you can go to the American Diabetes Association website for great help. talk with your doctor and pharmacist for help.

Check out the American Diabetes Association homepage on the web for all kinds of info re: DM. And don't forget to work closely with your health care provider to help stabilize your blood sugars. It's not easy, but you'll get used to it, and you will be very grateful you did later in life.
